Constructed in 1961 by the expert hands of master craftsman Giosuè Catogno, the building has retained its solid structure, with perimeter walls made of tufa-stone blocks that are as steadfast as ever.
This is the same type of stone used to build the homes in the Ciutat Vella (old town) of Alghero.
Recently renovated by equally capable hands, at the behest of the children of the original craftsman, the building combines the charm of the past with an elegant modern style.
In this way, the next generation of the Catogno family is taking forward the tradition of "Casa Catogno" with a more up-to-date vision, making it more suitable for use as modern-day holiday accommodation.
"Casa Catogno" is a two-storey building that houses a total of six apartments – three on each floor (five two-room apartments and one three-room apartment in total).
The generously-proportioned, light-filled spaces come complete with every imaginable comfort and even feature useable verandas of different sizes.
Ground floor / Apartment 1: a 50m2 two-room apartment with a small but useable veranda, comprising a large lounge with a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom.
